Creator of thafaker.de
thafaker.de was my first online project. I started running a blog in 2002. But to be completely honest, my blogging experience goes all the way back to 1998, when I launched my first website using FrontPage. The web hosting was with Lycos Tripod. 50 MB was plenty of space. Later, I switched to b2evolution and then to WordPress. Parts and posts of thafaker.de are still online, going forward on herrmontag.de.
E-Learning Stuff
I am the e-learning coordinator at the local university. In that role, I am responsible for the LMS at the administrative level, as well as for instructional design. For example, I also conduct training sessions and help further develop the system for the entire university.
Poetry n Motion
In 2021 I started writing short poems and lyrical short stories. Since I
really enjoy using the LaTeX typesetting program, I decided to typeset my
poetry into a little book—a PDF. The title:
Wie der Mond dereinst
in die Stadt hinab stieg
(und zerbarst).

TerminalDrome
TerminalDrome is a lightweight music client for Navidrome and other Subsonic-compatible servers, available on the TerminalDrome GitHub repository. It is written in Rust and uses mpv for audio playback. I have a small project progress website.
Other "Internet" Projects
I do a lot of things on the internet because I love the Net. I started a Pureblog Weblog at wochenstart.com where you can read longer, more personal posts than the ones on herrmontag.de. I often give my coding projects a place on GitHub. I also enjoy listening to vinyl and created a website for my entire vinyl collection.
Roadbiking
I try to exercise regularly—actually, every day. Ever since I quit smoking two years ago, I’ve been enjoying it much more. I go jogging from time to time, and I really enjoy riding my road bike, though not very often. The speed, the distance, and nature are the three things I love most about it. Family Man
I live with my partner; we have a traditional blended family. I have a son, and together we have three children.
